Who Invites Mpox Vaccine Manufacturers To Submit Dossiers For Emergency Evaluation

WHO Invites Manufacturers to Submit mpox Vaccine Expressions of Interest

Call for Emergency Use Listing

The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued an invitation for manufacturers of mpox vaccines to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Emergency Use Listing (EUL). This call follows the recent regulatory approval granted by a National Regulatory Authority (NRA) under conditional marketing.

How to Submit an EOI

Interested manufacturers can submit their expressions of interest for vaccines evaluation by sending a letter to the WHO Department of Vaccines. The letter should include information on the vaccine candidate, including its manufacturing process, clinical trial data, and safety and efficacy profile.

A Significant Step in Addressing mpox

The WHO's call for EOI is a significant step in addressing the ongoing public health challenge posed by mpox. By evaluating and potentially approving mpox vaccines, the WHO aims to provide countries with a safe and effective tool to prevent and control the spread of the disease. This effort is part of the WHO's comprehensive response to the mpox outbreak, which includes providing guidance to countries on prevention and control measures, supporting research and development, and coordinating global efforts to combat the disease.
