Baltimore Issues Code Red Extreme Heat Alert as Artscape Opens

WEB BALTIMORE - Baltimore has issued a Code Red Extreme Heat Alert this weekend, as the city prepares for Artscape, its famous free arts festival. The alert is in effect from Friday, August 2, 2024, at 5:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 11:00 p.m.

Artscape, which is celebrating its 40th year, is one of Baltimore's largest and most popular events. It draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city each year. The festival features a variety of art exhibitions, live music, and food vendors.
